IFHP Dentist in Windsor

Rose City Dental welcomes patients covered by the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP), and we bill Medavie Blue Cross directly. If you are a refugee, a refugee claimant or a protected person in Canada, the IFHP may cover part of your dental care.

Who the IFHP covers

The Interim Federal Health Program is a federal program for people who are not yet eligible for provincial health coverage. That includes resettled refugees, refugee claimants and certain other protected persons. The program is administered by Medavie Blue Cross.

What to expect at your visit

Please bring your IFHP document with you. Dental coverage under the program is limited, so we check what your certificate covers before any treatment begins, and we tell you plainly if something is not covered. For treatment the program covers, we bill Medavie Blue Cross directly, so you do not pay up front and you have nothing to claim back.

Call 519-252-5444 to book. New patients are welcome. We also accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) and all major insurance plans.

We see patients from across Windsor and Essex County. Most come from Windsor itself, Tecumseh and LaSalle, and we regularly see families driving in from Amherstburg, Essex, McGregor and Belle River. New patients are welcome and no referral is needed.
