About Dental Cleanings in Windsor

Dental cleanings are preventive dental appointments focused on removing plaque, tartar, and buildup that cannot always be removed through regular brushing and flossing alone. Professional cleanings help support healthy gums, reduce the risk of cavities, and allow your dental team to monitor your overall oral health.

Regular dental cleanings are recommended for most patients as part of maintaining a healthy smile. During your appointment, your dental team will assess your teeth and gums, remove buildup, and provide personalized recommendations to support your oral hygiene routine at home.

If you notice bleeding gums, bad breath, sensitivity, or it has been a while since your last dental visit, a professional cleaning can help improve your oral health and identify any areas that may need further attention.

Reasons to Schedule a Dental Cleaning

Removing Plaque & Tartar Buildup

Even with regular brushing and flossing, plaque can accumulate in hard-to-reach areas and harden into tartar. Professional cleaning helps remove these deposits.

Supporting Healthy Gums

Regular cleanings help monitor gum health and address early signs of gum concerns before they become more advanced.

Preventing Cavities

Removing plaque buildup helps reduce the risk of tooth decay and supports healthier teeth.

Maintaining Fresh Breath

Bacteria and buildup can contribute to persistent bad breath. Professional cleaning can help improve oral freshness.

Monitoring Your Oral Health

Dental cleanings allow your dental team to identify changes in your teeth and gums and recommend care based on your needs.

Confident Smiles

A professional cleaning can help remove surface stains and maintain a cleaner, brighter smile.
